Professional Qualification
Mohandas Konnanath is an Associate Partner with RNA, Technology and IP Attorneys. He is a dual qualified lawyer, India and England and Wales and has obtained his Masters in Intellectual Property Law from Bournemouth University, UK, in 2006. He enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council of Kerala in 1995, and has more than 25 years of post-qualification experience and joined RNA in 2008.
Practice focus
He heads the Chennai operations of the firm and handles litigation, opposition, prosecution matters, attends hearings before the Trademark Registry, Intellectual Property Appellate Board, Registrar of Companies, Regional Director, etc. In his current role, he advices clients on a wide range of IP matters such as brand clearance, enforcement action, opposition matters, infringement proceedings, online infringement and counterfeits, domain name disputes, negotiating settlement with infringers. He also regularly writes and lectures on IP issues.
