Our Senior Associate, Girish Bhatia, was recently invited to deliver a guest lecture on the Importance of Intellectual Property (IP) and the INTA Unreal Campaign at GH Raisoni University. The session was highly interactive, with students posing thought-provoking questions on who grants rights to infringers, the government’s role in IP enforcement, and legal penalties for violations. Faculty members also sought insights into artificial intelligence and its potential threats to businesses and IP. The lecture highlighted the vital role of IPR in fostering innovation, protecting businesses, and driving economic growth. It covered key aspects of IP protection, enforcement, and commercialization, emphasizing how strong IPR frameworks encourage research, investment, and entrepreneurship. The discussion also explored emerging IP challenges, particularly the growing impact of AI on intellectual property digital advancements on trademark and copyright protection. As part of this initiative, Girish contributed to INTA’s Unreal Campaign, educating young minds on trademarks and the risks of counterfeiting.
